How do I solve printing problems (Safari Users)?

If you are experiencing problems with printing, this is normally because you need to adjust your Safari print settings. Please follow the instructions below and then try printing again. If you are unable to adjust your print settings using the instructions below, it is possible that you are using an older version of Mac/os and or Safari and will need to upgrade.

Define a Customised size of paper called Infocare as follows:

  1. Once you have logged in to Infocare, click "File" "Page Setup"
  2. In the "Page Attributes" drop down box, click on the down arrow and select "Custom Paper Size"
  3. Click "New"
  4. Type "Infocare"
  5. In the box that says "Height" enter "29.7" if the measurement is in CM or "11.69" if the measurement is in inches
  6. In the box that says "Width" enter "21" if the measurement is in CM or "8.27" if the measurement is in inches
  7. In the box that says "Top", "Left", "Right" and "Bottom", enter ".5" if the measurement is in CM or ".25" if the measurement is in inches.
  8. Click "Save"
  9. Click "Ok"

Set the customised paper as your default paper as follows:

  1. Click "File" "Page Setup"
  2. In the "Format for" drop down box, click on the down arrow and select "Any Printer"
  3. In the "Paper Size" drop down box, click on the down arrow and select "Infocare"
  4. In the "Scale" box, set the scale to 95%
  5. In the "settings" drop down box, click on the down arrow and select "Save as default"
  6. Click "Ok"

If you are still having problems with printing, it may be that your "text size" in Safari is too large. You can reduce the "Text size" by pressing the "Apple" key and the "-" key at the same time (Apple and minus key).
